Who we are

I’m Michelle Hess, a seasoned leader, connector, and problem solver with over a decade of experience driving impactful change in communities and organizations. After serving as a Councilmember for the City of Buckeye from 2012 to 2024, I am now channeling my passion for leadership into my own consulting business, helping leaders and teams reach their full potential.

Buckeye, Arizona, has been my home since 2006, and it’s where I discovered the profound impact of community-driven leadership. As an elected official and a leadership professional, I’ve worked to build bridges, solve challenges, and create opportunities for growth. From navigating complex policy issues to fostering collaboration among stakeholders, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how to bring people together to achieve meaningful results.

In addition to my public service, I’ve led as the Executive Director of Leadership West, a premier leadership development organization in Arizona. There, I equipped leaders with the tools, insights, and networks to address critical issues like water, infrastructure, education, and economic development, ensuring the West Valley continues to thrive.

Why I Do What I Do

Leadership isn’t just about taking charge; it’s about inspiring others, unlocking potential, and creating lasting impact. Through my consulting work, I aim to share the knowledge and strategies I’ve honed over years of leadership and public service. Whether it’s guiding organizations through strategic planning, facilitating team development, or mentoring individuals to grow as leaders, my mission is to empower others to lead with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

Expertise You Can Trust

My approach to leadership is informed by both academic rigor and real-world experience. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Leadership from Grand Canyon University, a Master’s in Strategic Ministry from Johnson University, and advanced training from Harvard University’s Senior Executives in State and Local Government program. I’m also a proud alumna of the Flinn-Brown Civic Leadership Academy and Leadership West.

Beyond credentials, I bring hands-on expertise in navigating organizational challenges, building collaborative networks, and creating innovative solutions. My work has been recognized with honors like the Phoenix Business Journal’s “40 Under 40,” and I’ve served on numerous boards and committees, gaining a holistic view of leadership and its impact.

Let’s Build Something Extraordinary

My goal is to help leaders and organizations move forward—whether they’re stuck in the details, facing new challenges, or seeking a fresh perspective. Together, we can develop strategies, build stronger teams, and create sustainable success.

Leadership is a journey, and I’m here to guide you every step of the way. Let’s connect and start building a better future today.
